In the Bible, Jesus tells us to take no thought for tomorrow; that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. He emphasizes surviving in today's moment, in the eternal Now. He gives us the key to peace and eternal life. They're the Heralds of Eternity!
God is pure love, and God desires to reveal pure love by which everything is shared. “In the holy instant God is remembered, and the language of communication with all your brothers is remembered with Him.” (T-15.VI.8) In the holy instant, we remember God. There's no concealment, and there are no private thoughts, no worries or concerns money for hard times, or regrets about the past. It's an experience of perfect peace. This is what Jesus is calling us into.
We're asked to let go of our ideas about time. We may have believed that something was missing in the past, and we took action to test and correct it, dreaming about a much better future. But Jesus is saying, “Don't hope for a much better future. The near future is just a trick! Now is all there is.”
And so we're now asking ourselves the question, what's it all about? What is the purpose because of this world and for my relationships? What is the point of time and space? Jesus tells us that today's moment could be the point. a course in miracles mp3 Our vocation of healing (of the mind) could be the point.
How Practical Is This?
Jesus and the Holy Spirit have an idea for every single and everyone of us. It's very precise, and it's individualized. In each moment, they instruct us where you should go, what direction to go, and who to be with. They instruct us what books to learn, what movies to view, what to eat, and what not to eat. We receive instructions on how to get our daily bread, when it comes to inspiration and also food, clothing, shelter. The Spirit is indeed practical. Once we give our mind to living and experiencing the holy instant, the Holy Spirit provides everything we want in Earth terms.
When there are plans to be made, i will be told of them. “You will need take thought for nothing, careless of everything except the only real purpose that you would fulfill.” (T-20.IV.8) In lesson 135, he tells us:
“A healed mind does not plan. It carries out the plans so it receives through playing wisdom that is not its own. It waits until it's been taught what should be done, and then proceeds to accomplish it. It doesn't depend upon itself for anything except its adequacy to fulfill the plans assigned to it. It's secure in certainty that obstacles can not impede its progress to accomplishment of any goal that serves the more plan established for the nice of everyone.” (W-pI.135.11)
