Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there should be a thing that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something which triggered a transformation or perhaps a major healing. So, that which was it?”
“Trust,” I said.
Think about your daily life because it appears to be these days in terms of the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So whenever we discuss the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's kind of like creating a big house of cards, stacking using one card following the other. A good wind occurs and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It had been this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in anything else; those things that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It surely comes down to the essence of who is my brother? Could it be Spirit or matter? Could it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried any particular one?So you're asking the question, “If someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading is always to the awareness that everything is mental.
What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. This is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. unwind your mind back to god There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the text between thought and form. His lessons start off with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all the meaning it's for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's discussing thoughts. First He's discussing perception, then about our thoughts, then He returns with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's trying to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, which will be trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to instruct us that they are all illusions and that they are all equally meaningless. That's precisely the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with your brain to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What sort of things would you invest in, these days?
