Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there must be a thing that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, the thing that was it?”
“Trust,” I said.
Consider your daily life since it seems to be nowadays when it comes to the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So when we discuss the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's similar to making a big house of cards, stacking using one card after the other. quantum forgiveness Then the good wind occurs and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon anything else; dozens of items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments.
Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It surely comes down seriously to the essence of who is my cousin? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that certain?So you are asking the question, “When someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading is always to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will highlight is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination. This really is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to construct his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the text between thought and form. His lessons start out with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number 4, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's discussing thoughts. First He's discussing perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's attempting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back
to that particular timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to instruct us they are all illusions and they are all equally meaningless. That's the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things.
